Red Plastic Bag Performing "Ragga Ragga"
Although Red Plastic Bag (born Stedson Wiltshire) began performing in 1979, it wasn't until the mid-'80s when he dedicated his life to singing professionally. By combining the sounds of reggae and soca, Red Plastic Bag became one of the most popular performers in his native Barbados, then all over the Caribbean, and by the 1990s his hit "Ragga Ragga" catapulted him into the international limelight, eventually becoming so popular that it was recorded in seven different languages. Red Plastic Bag and his longtime co-songwriter, Mac Fingall, became known as two of the most prolific songwriters of the calypso genre, performing together as well as separately into the 2000s.
